About Us
I began my career working for general contractors in 1976, primarily in the carpentry field. However, we were responsible for all areas of the job from breaking of ground to the finished project, which gave me the experience and knowledge of all the trades for the entire building process.
In 1991 I founded my general contracting company, James K. Holton, Inc., with a primary focus on additions, log homes, renovations, some new homes, and excavation work. My son grew up working with me in the trade and he has now owned the business since 2016.
Beginning in 2016 I stopped doing carpentry work and placed focus on my excavation work. I continue to purchase and update equipment to keep up with the needs of the homeowners.
I was born and raised in Landenberg, PA . I grew up working on a local dairy farm until I began working in construction. I married my wife Joyce in 1984. We have three grown children and six grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy camping, biking, hunting and watching sports.
